The palate offers a softer aspect and some creaminess, yet maintains the customary precision, clarity and brightness of the estate. Bright and buil to last. Riesling Brandstatt er Muthenthalers top Riesling. Enorm power og mineralsk koncentration, men stadig sensuel, let cremet og utroligt indsmigrende, selv som ung. En vin der lagrer utroligt godt, men også giver en enorm fornøjelse som ung. Årgang efter årgang en af Wachaus største rieslinger.

At Martin Muthenthaler skulle blive vinbonde, lå ikke lige i kortene. Til trods for at forældrene ejede nogle få vinmarker, var det uddannelsen som mekaniker han helligede sig som ung. I fritiden var han chauffør for Freie Weingärtner i Wachau, så lidt tilknytning til vin havde han dog. Efter cooperativets omstrukturering mistede han i 2006 sit job, og kastede sig derfor over vinproduktion fra forældrenes knapt 3 ha. velbeliggende vinmarker i Spitzer Graben.
